Rescue Me ID: 14-03-02-00135Evie (female)

Havanese Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

GROOMED PICTURES ARE COMING%BD'%BD|%BD'%BD| The Human Society states that 6 to 8 million cats and dogs enter US shelters each year. 3.5 million make it out alive. Personality: Evie is a very sweet and fun girl. There is nothing like curling up with her and stroking her super soft and beautiful fur. Evie will make the perfect snuggle partner while sitting next to a warm fire. She is all sweetness, all love and a stunning beauty. She is also really good with other dogs. She was found with her buddy Sly. We are not sure how they are related. Evie is approximately 1 year younger than Sly. They could be father and daughter, or ... (Read More)siblings from another litter. We believe these are purebred dogs, but they are shelter dogs and we have no information on their pasts. Adoption priority will be given to someone wanting both. Second to family members or friends or neighbors. We would love to keep them together. Appearance & Breed: We believe that Evie is a Tibetan Terrier, but she is a rescue dog with no information on her past. We made this determination by her looks. Evie is small in size around 16 lbs She has silky, wavy hair that is black with buff and white markings. She is very striking! Past: Evie was found wondering the streets in CA. She was picked up and brought to the San Bernardino CA shelter. This deadly shelter has a 60% kill rate. Even girls as beautiful as Evie may not make it out alive since this shelter allows dogs 1-3 days to live after their hold period is over. Health and Safety: Leaving the shelter, she was given vaccines and antibiotics to ensure her health. She currently is in foster care getting some badly needed TLC. She has not yet been spayed, but she will be before we release her to her new, wonderful home. Could it be yours? Needs: She just wants to be loved. She is all love and kisses. She is an active girl that would love to go on long walks or hikes with you. If adopted with Sly, she will be less needy and dependent on her owner and much happier too. Adopting a bonded pair can be easier than taking on one needy dog. Our Mission: We are a small, passionate 100% volunteer organization that networks, rescues, fosters and places small dogs into new homes. We strive to make a perfect match between dog and new owner. *Our rescue requires an application and home visit.* Adoption fee will cover expenses that have been prepaid in CA and in Seattle by us. Many times the actual costs are greater than our adoptions fees. All our services and our time is free of charge. We just ask that you respect our time and be ready to adopt a dog and be sure that everyone in your household is too. Our fees are quickly used to help the next shelter dog. A day or an hour can make the difference in a shelter dog's life or death. The following is included: *Vaccinations including rabies *Heart worm test (negative) *health certificate showing her good health *Spay/Neuter with IV fluids and pain meds. IV fluids are used as a means to prevent kidney damage from the anesthetic. It is actually an option at many vets. We think it is worth the extra cost. * CA boarding *antibiotics and all medical care *Frontline flea treatment *Grooming, nails, teeth, ears and anal glands at Posh Paws in Seattle *Energy treatments from Reconnective Therapy *Transport to Seattle from CA *Microchip *Collar and Leash *Instructions for care and our further support Total Cost: $595.00 (Less)
