Hi, my name is Lala and boy, have I had a rough start. I was found in Arizona covered in tics and fleas. I have a limp on one leg and I don't see out of either eye. It is plain to see I am a parti Apricot Poodle/Havanese cross. Since I had to be shaved down due to the ticks it is hard to tell how beautiful I will be. I am young, probably 2 years old. That is 2 years I had to live with those nasty bugs and in urine and feces. I wondered every ... (Read More)day what I had done wrong to deserve this. I am so loving and not very fearful. I navigate the steps up and down on my own. I find things by feeling with my shins. I get along well with other dogs and I was playing with my foster mom's puppy this morning. She thinks I'm just the cat's meow and really quite amazing. Speaking of which I am good with her cat. I already know how to find my foster mom and climb by myself on her lap. I am spayed and current on my shots, I have a microchip so I never get lost again. I get cold easily because I'm used to Arizona and I don't have any hair right now. I was tired last night from all my good vetting and grooming and traveling so I crashed in my bed. I don't need any special care but someone out there needs for me to keep their lap warm and give them all the love I have in spite of my tough beginning. Love, Lala. 080615-01 (Less)

Havanese are great dogs for allergy sufferers. Havanese may not eat unless they have company; some will pick up a big mouthful of food and carry it to another room to be with their owner, drop it on the floor, and eat it one piece at a time. Havanese were used as circus performers in 19th century Europe.
